The Facilities Maintenance Team Leader will ensure that all commercial and residential properties and facilities are fit for purpose, available for intended use and in compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities of the role include the facilities property management, ensuring correct adherence to property agreements and compliance against statutory requirements. The role requires an attention to detail to ensure existing and new properties comply with appropriate health and safety practices, building and environmental standards. You will manage capital works and projects to time, budget, scope and quality standards.
As Team Leader, you will contribute to and manage a team as the first point of contact for all relative staff enquiries, work orders, and external contractors. Other tasks include maintaining and develop working relationships with the Iwi’s established contractors and applying a future-thinking perspective to overall maintenance.
To be successful you will have: * An awareness of and affinity for the needs and aspirations of Maaori communities. * Experience in a Trade. * Proven people leadership. * A clean and full NZDL. * Te Reo Proficiency: Beginner. * Sound working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practices. * The ability to prioritise tasks against deadlines, and handle multiple projects, staff and contractors in a fast-paced environment. * Proven ability to work both independently and in a team; using sound judgement and initiative. *Proficient with Microsoft Office products and intermediate computer skills. * Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills. * Excellent communications and relationship management skills.
This role is a fixed term full time role for 12 months.
